"Baby Bear Jazz" is a song performed by Hoots the Owl and his band (the Owl Stars) to teach Baby Bear about how jazz music works.
Performed in Episode 3110 of Sesame Street, Hoots explains how jazz music has a sort of freedom that other music lacks. The band demonstrates with jazzy interpretations of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Mary Had a Little Lamb." Baby Bear gets the idea, and is able to scat with the band.
