Since it's National Pet Awareness month and RSPCA week Brenda wants us at Allsorts to feature a pet on our projects. Since I'm a cat person I went for cats, played around with the distress inks to make a background and finished off the card with a sentiment from Penny Black.

We have two animal inspired prizes this week, the first a new Woodware cat stamp and the second a collection of three sweet animal stamps.

This week at Allsorts it's my turn to host the challenge and I want you to Use pearls. I had a small jewellery box in rather vivid colours so I decided to paint it with white gesso and acrylic paint, distress the edges and put flowers, pearls and a ribbon on it. Suits me more now :)

This week at Allsorts Ellie set the theme to Spring flowers or showers. I went for showers and made a cover for a chocolate box. I paper-pieced the umbrella in the same paper as the cover. Really wish it would actually rain cause that would make the snow go away. The bottom layer is all icy so it feels like it will never melt away...

This week at Allsorts  Kath wants us to use squares on our creations, just making the card square isn't enough.
So I made squares on squares :) using a Stampin Up stamp and sentiment. Distressed a background in lilac and turquoise.

I liked the colours and the banners so I decided to use those elements for a candy box. I started with an empty box I had saved cause I liked the sturdy shape and the gold edges.
