BOOKS, COFFEE & CAKE || PRETTY LITTLE STUDIO

Today I want to share another Pretty Little Studio layout created with my favorite collection "Well Read". I scrapped a photo of my book-loving daughter:

My two favorite papers in this collection are the one with the rainbows (Reading Raibow) and the one with the stripes (Happy Place) and I used those two for the top and bottom of my layout.

I used my Big Shot die-cutting machine to create the words "Books Coffee Cake". The letters were cut from the paper called Book Fair.

Here are  a few more close-ups:

I totally adore all of the book & reading related ephemera in this collection and had such a hard time choosing which ones to add to my page. I would have loved to use them all!

I wrote my journaling left of the photo and machine stitched around all sides of my page (twice) and also over many of the elements on my page. Last but not least I added dark green, white and pink paint drops.

This is it, my layout is finished. Hope you like it.

Salty Air || Hey Summer Collection || Pretty Little Studio

It's been a long time since I've been here last! How time flies. Today I thought I'd share a layout I created for Pretty Little Studio using their fun Hey Summer collection. Here in the Netherlands it's all gray skies at the moment and I long for a bit of sun, so the choice for the collection was easy. For my layout I chose a photo of my two sons at Pier 39 in San Francisco last summer.

Here's what I made:

I started this layout by tearing four strips of paper from a few of my favorite patterned papers in this collection: three for the top of my layout and one for the bottom. Next I chose a horizontal photo measuring 10 cm x 15 cm (4" x 6") and placed this on the strips of paper, a bit left of the center. I continued by placing four die-cut frames around and adding lots of other die-cuts and stickers.

Here are a few close-up photos:

I'm not a fan of jellyfish, but this is one is too cute!

There are so many fun die-cuts in this collection, like that glass of lemonade. I just had to include it.

I love creating little clusters like here with the shell, jellyfish, starfish and word die-cut:

When I had finished my layout I added machine stitching everywhere, yellow paint drops and a few lines of journaling and I was completely done! Hope you like it.

Planner spread using the Sunkissed collection from Pretty Little Studio

Hello friends! I thought I would share the planner spread I made using the Sunkissed collection from Pretty Little Studio. I still have a lot of catching up to do with all of my planners so I decided to make this one for the month of August 2021 in my Happy Planner. This spread is all about our vacation in France and also about our 25th Wedding Anniversary!

Here's what I made:

I started with cutting the "Snapshots" cut file from The Cut Shoppe (using my Silhouette Cameo) and backed all the letters with the sheet called "Itineray". As I did last time as well, I cut this cut file twice: once in white and once from the "Itinerary" sheet and only used the white "frame" from the first and only the colored letters from the other.

For the right page I printed a large photo of us on our Wedding Anniversary day and matted this on one of the Sunkissed ledger papers.

On the right side of the photo I added a journaling card, a large title and two word flags.

Below the photo I added two scalloped rows, some faux stitches and letter stickers.

And above the photo I added a little cluster with two heart die-cuts, a flower and a label with the stamped date.

Really loving the result. Before, I never knew what to do with the monthly overviews in my Happy Planner. These little spreads are the perfect solution for me.

Magical - Doodlebug layout for iNSD

Hello friends, last Saturday it was iNSD (International Scrapbook Day) and I decided to join in one of Doodlebug Design's challenges. I had an untouched "Fun at the Park" collection which I've been dying to use and because my daughter had been to Disney in Florida last October I had the photos to go with it.

So here's what I made:

And this is the sketch Doodlebug designed for iNSD:

I really adore this collection!! Here are a few detail photos;

A happy layout for a very happy place!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Simple Things || Pretty Little Studio

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing my latest layout created with the beautiful Wildflowers collection from Pretty Little Studio. For this layout I chose a photo of a walk my friends and I took last weekend. Here's what I made:

I started this layout with the rainbow sheet of the 6"x 9" paper pad. I adore the rainbow papers in all the new Pretty Little Studio collections! Next I chose one of the 3"x 4" journaling cards and placed my photo on top. With a few flower die-cuts it already looked great!

Here are a few close-ups:

I machine stitched around the layout twice and also over some of the die-cuts which adds a little extra interest.

Loving This || Sugar Plum || Pretty Little Studio

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing another Christmas layout I created for Pretty Little Studio with the new and adorable Sugar Plum collection. I totally adore this collection and am happily scrapping all the Christmas photos I never got around to scrap before.

Here's the layout I made:

I started my page with the paper called "Peppermint Swirl". I cut off a small strip on all sides of the paper and adhered it on a sheet of white cardstock. I chose an older photo from our family taken at Christmas 2020 and placed this more or less in the middle of the swirl. On the right side of the photo I placed a 3"x4" journaling card and added a die-cut of that super cute little mouse.

Above the journaling card I added die-cuts of a large flower, of a nutcracker and of some leaves. I love these nutcracker die-cuts so much!

In the bottom right corner of the photo I added a heart die-cut and on top a punch-out label with a quote. Below the photo and the journaling card I placed two scalloped borders.

In the bottom left corner of the photo I added a floral and a stem die-cut and a clear "Dictionary" sticker:

And the last cluster of die-cuts was placed above the photo: a couple of ornaments:

I machine stitched around all sides of my page and over some of the die-cuts. Next I stamped the date and added some paint drops and then I was done!

I really love this new Sugar Plum collection! If you want to check it out, please visit the Pretty Little Studio shop.
