During the song Equestria Girls in the cantine there is a part without drums. When they start again, the left tripod is layerd behind a stand, which should be in background there. --Bahnpirat (talk)

At 14:33, the hallway between Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer appears empty, however the next clip shows a background girl on Twilight's right side, and then suddenly, another background boy on Twilight's left, which the previous clip showed to be empty. Cuyut (talk) 05:07, July 27, 2013 (UTC)

At 32:13, Principal Celestia mentions on the P.A system, "Good morning, students, and happy Thursday. Just a reminder to pick up your ballots for the Princess of the Fall Formal today. They are due at the time the dance starts tomorrow night, so don't forget to turn them in and make your voice heard."
This would mean that the Fall Formal was originally scheduled on Friday night. Throughout all of Thursday, Twilight is able to reunite the mane six, win the votes of the school, while Sunset Shimmer destroys Pinkie Pie's decorations and accuses Twilight for committing it. Flash Sentry defends Twilight's innocence to Vice Principal Luna. Because of the damage Sunset Shimmer caused, Luna states that the dance will have to be postponed tomorrow night, which is basically the same time Celestia mentioned that same morning. Twilight then panics and rejects Flash Sentry's proposal, "If you aren't already going with somebody, wanna go to the Fall Formal with me tomorrow night?"
This dialogue mistake from Principal Celestia's announcement during Thursday morning leads to making Twilight's panic and Pinkie Pie's panic at 49:14 (when Pinkie is told by Twilight that the Fall Formal isn't happening tonight) totally irrelevant. If Twilight had listened carefully to what Celestia had said that morning, she would have panicked earlier, and would perhaps have told the truth about herself to the mane six earlier, changing the movie's plot utterly. At 57:42, Sunset Shimmer is threatening to destroy the portal by smashing it with a sledgehammer. Solid objects go through the portal such as Twilight Sparkle and her crown. The sledgehammer will not destroy the portal and rather just pass through it, thus making Sunset Shimmer's bluff irrelevant. Cuyut (talk) 05:07, July 27, 2013 (UTC)
This addresses the plot more than the animation, but I'll address it anyway: it's possible Sunset was going to smash not the portal, but the statue around the portal, causing the portal to collapse. But that's the whole point of the bluff -- whether Sunset was going to smash the portal or the statue, she just needed Twilight to believe she was going to destroy her way home. 08:52, August 22, 2013 (UTC)
There are inconsistencies on the time difference between travelling from Canterlot High to Equestria through the portal.
at 10:43, Twilight sees her human hand turn into a hoof when she tests out the portal. This scene creates the assumption that travel between the portal is instantaneous.
From 6:16 to 6:26, Sunset Shimmer goes through the mirror about 9 to 10 seconds after the crown goes through. If travelling between the worlds through the portal was instant, then Fluttershy at 16:36 would have had to leave her place in front of the portal within 10 seconds after she got the crown in order not to see Sunset Shimmer come out of it.The time difference of 10 seconds is too short and would have made it unrealistic for Fluttershy not to notice Sunset Shimmer as she arrives at Canterlot High from Equestria.
at 01:08:40, Spike is seen entering the portal first, just before Twilight when going back to Equestria, yet Twilight is seen first and yet Spike arrives 22 to 23 seconds after Twilight arrives in Equestria.Cuyut (talk) 05:07, July 27, 2013 (UTC)
Another thing to consider: when Sunset and the crown go through the portal, it's night. When the crown emerges on the other side, it's day. This suggests a distance between Equestria and Canterlot High of at least several hours. Perhaps the gap between the two worlds is more akin to a tunnel than a window, and it's not the travel between the worlds that's instantaneous, but the transformation (hence, Twilight's hand turning into a hoof). 08:52, August 22, 2013 (UTC)

During the Equestira Girls song, while one of the Techie's is recording Rainbow Dash, Big Mac, Trixie and DJ-PON3 are behind her. But overhead shots show Big Mac is seated nowhere near there, and is on the other side the cafeteria with AJ (Before she gets up) and the CMC. Later a shot of Big Mac and the CMC's table has them all in diffrent places and a background student seated with them.Lego3400 (talk)

Why wouldn't the mane 6 know what dancing is when in various episodes, they can dance?
I didn't interpret it as them not knowing what dancing was. I interpreted it as just surprise that she was dancing when all she had to do was get her crown. - Jasonbres (talk) 18:32, April 20, 2014 (UTC)

When Twilight puts her hand in the portal (When the "hoof error" happens), the portal doesn't shine as it does when Twilight goes through the mirror,the crown goes in and out of the portal,Sunset Shimmer goes through,Twilight goes back to Equestria and comes out of the mirror.
