Edit war with Legacy Console Edition history[]
There has been an edit war going on with the history for the Legacy Console Edition. It keeps switching back and forth between TU1 and TU9. On the Legacy Console Edition Version History page, there is no mention of when dragon eggs where added. However, the ender dragon was added in TU9, so dragon eggs are more likely to have been added in this update. What is a reliable source of information that has the definite answer to this?--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 03:07, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
Pretty sure it's TU9. It is impossible that the Java Edition does not have the dragon egg but Xbox owns it. You can search the forum changelog. Skylord wars (talk) 03:46, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
- The current page says that dragon eggs were added in TU9. I think it will probably be best to just leave it as it is for now, and if it gets changed again, I'll look into it deeper.--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 14:07, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
re: Teleport behaviour[]
Under the heading "The Void", the article currently states:
- In the case that egg teleportation finds an invalid location such as a negative y value, it makes an additional attempt to find a valid location, centered on the invalid location rather than the original position.
If this were true, I'd expect that an egg on a lone block at the bottom of the world would be able to travel outside the usual 31x15x31 box e.g. by moving (~10, ~-2, ~) into the void then out with a reroll of (~10, ~4, ~). However, when testing in-game (JE 1.17.1) that never happened. I did observe the particle trail going down into the void and the egg appearing up and on the opposite side, but it was never outside the bounding box.
I suggest removing this header, and rewriting the invalid position part under the previous header ("Teleporting") instead. Yoshirulz (talk) 11:58, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
Dragon Summoning[]
Will the Dragon egg used along with 4 End Crystals to respawn the ender dragon by hatching the dragon egg, instead of using commands for an ender dragon spawn egg? – Unsigned comment added by Zachbarbo (talk • contribs) at 02:51, 17 November 2022 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
- If you clearly look at the image in the "Re-summoning" section, you will notice that the dragon egg is not required to summon the ender dragon. What you are proposing is a feature request that should be posted on either the feedback website or the Minecraft suggestions Reddit forum. BDJP (t|c) 08:43, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
