Trooper 002 is the internal name of a Federation Marine character that appears in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

When Samus Aran arrives on Norion, Trooper 002 guides the landing of her Gunship in Docking Hub Alpha. Once Samus disembarks, the soldier informs her that the invading Space Pirates have disabled the three Fedtech Plasma Generators that power the planetary Defense Cannon. He requests that she work with Rundas, Ghor and Gandrayda to restore power to the generators and use the cannon to repulse the assault. Before dismissing her, he gives her the generator coordinates, which are marked on the Map. He then moves to the inner side of Samus's Gunship, and stays there.

The last line of this dialogue appears in the first trailer released through the Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Preview, which features the Trooper.
Trivia[]
- Should the game be saved at the Gunship after Trooper 002's briefing, and then quit and then reloaded, he will disappear.
- Another Marine appears in Docking Hub Alpha a month after the invasion, but whether it is the same one as this character is unknown.
- Trooper 002 is voiced by Bryan Walker, the Senior Producer of Corruption. Walker revealed that he voiced this character in a 2021 interview.[2] It was a placeholder audio file that was retained in the final game. Scott Petersen gave the role to Walker since he was the only military veteran at Retro Studios. Walker joked that it exposed his sibilant pronunciation of "Stand to, Samus."[3]
