Paul Weaver is a former video game developer, best known for his work at Rare Ltd. He is the author of Super Metroid Nintendo Player's Guide, the North American Super Metroid strategy guide published by Nintendo Power. He wrote the guide while working freelance with Future Publishing from 1992-1994.
Weaver co-designed Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! at Rare, before departing the studio in 1999. He has since managed Acclaim Studios Cheltenham, Ion Storm, Breakaway Games, Visual Concepts and Disney Interactive Studios, before transitioning out of the video game industry in March 2013 to work at Rosetta Stone. Weaver is currently the vice president of user experience and human factors research at Cerner, a health care solutions corporation based in Kansas City, Missouri.
