List of rooms in Metroid Prime

Transport to Chozo Ruins North[]

Transport to Chozo Ruins North

Transport to Chozo Ruins North is a room in the Magmoor Caverns in Metroid Prime. It is a typical elevator room with a large and circular design. Chozo decorations are present on the walls. As with other elevators, a panel to scan exists to activate the hologram and make it possible to use, although Samus may reach this room from the corresponding elevator in the Chozo Ruins, making it unnecessary to make a scan here.

Burning Trail (1)

The Burning Trail is a room in the Magmoor Caverns. It appears in Metroid Prime. It is a very long tunnel, consisting of three parts, with groups of Shriekbats along its length.

Nearest Transport to Chozo Ruins North, there is a tall, narrow section with four moving platforms along the etched walls to allow passage up it. Next, there is a long walkway with many pipes running up the walls and multiple vents emitting what appears to be red steam. The steam is harmless but may impair the visor's vision for a brief moment (especially if Samus is using the Thermal Visor). Beyond that and a door to a Save Station, a wider chamber filled with lava has a large dark rock platform along its length to reach the other side, upon which is a singular roaming Grizby.

Save Station Magmoor A is a room in the Magmoor Caverns. It appears in Metroid Prime. It is a fairly large room with a metal framework suspended above the rock below as the floor, containing a Save Station. Several vents release hot steam upwards, and if Samus walks through one it will cause a large amount of condensation to form on her Visor.

The Lake Tunnel is a room within the Magmoor Caverns. It appears in Metroid Prime. It consists of two platforms over a lake of lava, each with a Grizby and an intermittent flame jet a little higher. The tunnel at the far end contains a Burrower. It is also the first room of the Caverns with extreme heat, which will quickly kill Samus if she came here without the Varia Suit.

The Lava Lake is a room in the Magmoor Caverns. It appears in Metroid Prime. This room has two parts that are similar in appearance, the second smaller than the first. Both are lava-filled areas with a few platforms for passage across, and contain multiple Puffers and a Grapple Point for easier crossing later on. The first room from the Lake Tunnel door contains two Magmoors and a Chozo Artifact inside a rock spire in the centre. The two parts of this room are joined by a small tunnel that Samus can only use via Morph Ball; several sandstone blockages inside need to be destroyed with bombs.

The Pit Tunnel is a room in the Magmoor Caverns. It appears in Metroid Prime. A fence separates the room into two sides to prevent passage until the Space Jump Boots are obtained; four Flame jets make jumping over it possibly harmful. Without the Space Jump Boots, the only way to get through the room to the Door on the other side is to enter Morph Ball form and roll under the metal grate that makes up the floor through a small gap. Triclops inside will try to grab Samus. If Samus is caught by one, it will slowly carry her to the nearest opening and eject her from the grate, dealing a small amount of damage in the process. Once Samus gets the Space Jump Boots, she can jump over the fence, negating the need to pass under it.

The Triclops Pit is a room in the Magmoor Caverns. It appears in Metroid Prime. The Triclops Pit is a large cavern with metal grids covering the floor and a pipe that leads below the grids, small enough that the Morph Ball must be used. Underneath, there are multiple Triclops; following the path, there is another pipe leading to Storage Cavern. Above the grids, there are a few rock pillars. Platforms with Puffers around them lead up to the Monitor Tunnel door, some of which descend when Samus stands on them, and near the door to Pit Tunnel there are a few metal crates. Vents of red steam in parts of the room fog up Samus's vision for a short period of time if she steps into them.

It is a fairly small elevator room; to take this transport to Tallon Overworld, Samus needs to scan an Interface Module. Unusually for Magmoor Caverns, some rocks higher up are mossy, and Red Starbursts are present; these give an indication of the lift's destination. If Samus approaches either door without the Varia Suit, she will be warned of the extreme heat of those rooms.

It consists of a large pool of lava that Samus must cross using the Spider Ball Track accessible at each end of the room. Twin Fires is a room in the Magmoor Caverns. It appears in Metroid Prime. It consists of two large caves, each a lava pool, a Magmoor and a central rock pillar, connected by a very brief tunnel. Horizontal flamethrowers are present in the tunnel and near the door to North Core Tunnel, making either the Ice Beam or the Morph Ball a must. Two Grapple Points hang over each pool, making getting across the magma much easier with the Grapple Beam. Without the Grapple Beam, crossing each pool is a matter of shooting down a stalactite from the ceiling with a Missile to make a ledge to cross. In one case, this rock kills a Magmoor when it falls.

The North Core Tunnel is a room in the Magmoor Caverns. It appears in Metroid Prime. It is a hallway with a small pool of magma in the middle. Upon entering the room for the first time, a Magmoor will appear in the center of the pool, directly below a stalactite. If Samus launches a Missile at the stalactite, it will fall, kill the Magmoor, and can then be used as a 'stepping-stone' to cross the pool safely.

The Geothermal Core is a room in the Magmoor Caverns. It appears in Metroid Prime. It has three pillars in a large pool of magma which requires power from a Spinner. By using the Spinner, the rotating lift platforms on the pillars rise and release access to a Bomb Slot. Activating this Bomb Slot will cause the pillars to raise the roof and a large and long Spider Ball Track will be revealed that lines the wall in a maze-like pattern. Samus has to roll across tracks, plates and tubes and sometimes even has to drop herself several meters in order to reach the next track. At the end of the track there is a door that leads to the Plasma Processing room, with Bendezium (in PAL and Japanese versions) blocking the door. Later in the game, both Puddle Spores will disappear from the room.

Steps are formed out of the rock walls, leading up to two of the doors here, while the third door is reached via constructed metal platforms. The Morph Ball area on the floor is under a metal grate, and channels lead from the centre to three small rooms; these, however, are initially lava-filled.

The flame jets follow a pattern: each jet burst lasts for a second with a one-second break in-between. In the following representation, each individual flame jet is assigned a number. All flame jets of that number are on at the same time, and the rest are off. The pattern is as follows: 122112. All flame jets can be frozen with the Ice Beam to stop their flow.
