Autclast

Description[]

The Autclast was created with Chozo technology, sharing the same "aut-" prefix in its name with other Chozo automatons from ZDR and SR388; it also resembles the Diggernaut and other similar one-eyed Chozo robots. The Chozo letters "MU" are printed on its head, although their meaning is unknown.^[1]

Autclasts can primarily be found in Cataris, although they can also be found in the hotter sectors of Artaria and Dairon. An idle Autclast patrols the room by moving along floors, walls, and/or ceilings. It has two cylindrical arms on either side, which it slams down with great force, generating an explosion that sends fire across the surface it is on; this attack is similar to the Ultrafrigid Beam, albeit not with ice. Samus Aran can stun an Autclast before it attacks with a Dash Melee, allowing her to follow up with a Charge Beam that immediately destroys it. Like other ZDR robots, the Autclast is immune to uncharged Beams until Samus acquires the Plasma Beam.

Due to their robotic nature, Autclasts remain unaffected by the later X Parasite outbreak.
