The USS Horatio (NCC-90600) was a 25th century Federation starship, the tier 6 Horatio-class support cruiser prototype and the first legendary temporal support cruiser, in Starfleet service in the 2410s decade. In response to the Iconian War of 2410, the Allied Cooperative Starship Development Board jointly designed tier 6 support cruisers - the Narendra-class for Starfleet and the Vor'ral-class battlecruiser for the Klingon Defense Force, based on the Ambassador- and Vor'cha-classes of the 24th century, respectively. The Narendra was named for Battle of Narendra III, where the Ambassador-class starship USS Enterprise-C sacrificed itself defended a Klingon colony from a Romulan attack. Following the Battle of Excalbia on stardate 84999.22[1] in January 2411, which saw the prominent involvement of hero ships from the Federation's past and present, several Federation later other Khitomer Alliance ships underwent a refit to legendary starship[2] qualifications. The Narendra and a replica of the USS Enterprise-C received upgrades in the year 2411, shortly after the Shattering of the Klingon Empire during the Klingon Civil War of 2411. The Narendra then performed maneuvers in orbit of a planet. (STO website: House Reborn: Updates to the Ambassador and Narendra)
After the return of Klingon Chancellor L'Rell[3], the USS Horatio was launched as a subclass variant of the Ambassador. It was the first legendary starship of that family, and received temporal notation. The Narendra, the replica USS Enterprise-C and the USS Yamaguchi were among the support cruiser ships that Starfleet refitted match the Horatio legendary starship standards.
