The USS Avenger (NCC-97500) was a 25th century Federation starship, a tier 6-rated Avenger-class battlecruiser, and prototype of its class, in Starfleet service in the 2400s and 2410s decades. (STO Collection Issue 11: "USS Avenger")
Its commanding officer was Captain Brandon Felczer. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Know Your Enemies")
Service history[]
The USS Avenger was constructed under the aegies of the Avenger Class Development Project. Its design was based on the 2390s-era Inquiry-class battlecruiser. The Avenger launched in the year 2406. (STO Collection Issue 11: "USS Avenger")
During Operation: Delta Rising, the USS Avenger, under the command of Captain Brandon Felczer, came to the rescue of an alliance shuttlecraft that had fallen into a trap laid by enemies of the Delta Alliance in the Hodos star system. (STO mission: "Better with Friends")
From 2410 onward, the Avenger represented its class on he Starfleet Shipyards Operations interface at Khitomer Alliance shipyard facilities across the Milky Way Galaxy. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
Khitomer Alliance flag officers deployed the Avenger for missions around the galaxy's four quadrants as part of the four-quadrant strategy. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Admiralty System")

The USS Avenger's appearance in the Hodos system is a random event at the end of the mission. The captain of the Avenger, Brandon Felczer, is named for a former community manager at Star Trek Online's publisher Perfect World Entertainment, who recorded the cameo before leaving the company in 2014. This is the only specific appearance of Avenger to date, although any Avenger-class starship not otherwise labeled will carry the Avenger name and registry number by default.
