System 330 was a star system located in or near Federation space in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant consisting of a G class yellow star and eight planets. The fifth was Plixes, homeworld of the advanced Plixean civilization.

History and specifics[]

By the 2260s, Plixeans had developed or obtained long-range scanners, and had learned about the Federation. The starship USS Enterprise explored the system in 2267, with long-range sensors establishing that planets 4 and 5 might be able to support life, but 1, 2, 3, 6, and 7 could not. When they hailed the fourth and fifth planets, they made first contact with the Plixeans.

Although its leaders Gokron and Chekra asked to join the Federation, they actually conspired to murder the Federation Council during a conference on Earth. After being thwarted, the two stole the Vulcan ambassador's transport and attempted to ally with the Klingon Empire. (TOS comic: "To Rule the Universe")
