Sweden (Swedish: Sverige) is a nation-state in Northern Europe on Earth. It bordered Norway, Finland, and the Baltic Sea. Its capital city is Stockholm.

History and specifics[]

Trapped in 1942, a time displaced Pavel Chekov realized if he escaped from Russia to Sweden – neutral during World War II – he'd be able to avoid accidentally altering history. (TOS novel: Home is the Hunter)

In August 1976, a failed bank robbery in Sweden led to the criminals' hostage sympathizing with her captors. (VOY novel: Marooned)

In the 1990s, awards presentations for the Nobel Prize were held in Sweden. (TOS comic: "Prophet of Peace")

A researcher in Sweden accidentally overdosed on cordrazine. Spock researched the incident after Leonard McCoy was similarly dosed with the drug in 2267. (TOS - Crucible novel: The Fire and the Rose)

Neelix once commented that, if the USS Voyager ever travelled back in time to 20th century Earth again, he would like to visit Sweden to see what the Swedish were like and why they made meatballs.
