"A Savage World of Glass and Bone, Part 3" is a comic, the fifteenth issue of the un-subtitled Star Trek series from IDW Publishing. It was released on 20 December 2023.
Description[]
- Prepared to do whatever it takes to make peace with the war-worshipping Tzenkethi and outmaneuver the Romulan Empire as their ally, Captain Sisko and his crew work alongside Tzenkethi warleader Kav'ka and Romulan Magistrix T'Galatheon to ready capitol defenses in preparation for the deadly Festival of Supremacy. But Sisko soon learns that Federation ideals won't come naturally to the reptilian species that praises survival of the fittest over all. Can Sisko keep his crew alive, impress the Tzenkethi Autarch, and keep the Romulans from convincing warmongers that they reign supreme?
Summary[]
Log entries[]
- Chief engineer's log, supplemental.
- And here I thought Dr. McCoy was touched. There's somethin' fearless in Beverly Crusher, like she's looked into the eyes of tragedy one too many times. I canna rightly tell if she's carryin' a death wish or a stroke of genius... though I'm beginnin' te suspect it's both.
- She's got a sharp mind. Finds readings almost immediately that confirm her suspicions. Stops just long enough, then she's back in action. And something in her eyes makes me want to keep up... even if everything in my old bones tells me this dive into mystery is a place for the young... Pushing into the dark, led by a young adventurer forged by death and loneliness... takin' orders I'd never take, but for the confident smile in my captain's voice. I haven't been an "Enterprise man" in an age... but she does have me wondering. Maybe that spirit of adventure didn't belong to the past. Maybe I'm not such as relic after all.
- Captain's log.
- They're 25 feet at the shoulder. At least 15 tonnes. There are thousands of them. By mass alone, they outnumber us ten to one. Yet even so... we are ready.
