The OSS Blackguard was a 25th century Orion starship, the tier 5-rated Blackguard-class flight-deck assault carrier prototype in Orion Syndicate and Imperial Klingon Defense Force service in the 2400s and 2410s decades. (STO - Duties of Command mission: "The Hunt is On")

Service history and disposition[]

This design was a replica of the 22nd century Orion Syndicate Maraar-class^[2] barge. In the 25th century, the OSS Blackguard was among the starships whose class design the Orions shared with the Klingon Empire. This vessel was equipped with disruptor beam arrays and a hangar bay loaded with Orion Cutpurse-class fighters. (STO - Duties of Command mission: "The Hunt is On")

From 2410 onwards, the Blackguard represented its class on the shipyards interfaces operated by New Romulus Shipyards, Klingon Defense Force Order of Builders and Starfleet Shipyards Operations at Khitomer Alliance facilities across the Milky Way Galaxy. Flag officers of the Alliance could deploy the Blackguard alongside other spacecraft for assignments across the galaxy's quadrants as part of Operation: Delta Rising's four-quadrant strategy. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Admiralty System")
