Mirak is a star system near the borders of the Federation, Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire, located in the galaxy's Sagittarius Arm, somewhere in the space of Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[]

The Mirak system's orbit was the location of a planetary system, and is the location of the Mirak civilization's homeworld, the capital planet of the Mirak Star League. The Mirak homeworld was located in close proximity to borders with the Lyrans and the Klingons. (ST video game: Starfleet Command II: Empires at War)

When the quarantine zone directive was issued in the 2260s decade, Mirak was located at quarantine coordinates 50.76.79. (TOS video game: The Rebel Universe)

Mirak was identified in the Rebel Universe gameplay manual, specifically as being the location of a planet where a landing party could obtain a miscellaneous technology.

Background[]

The fact that The Rebel Universe and Empires at War both mentioned the name "Mirak" is a total coincidence, as the two games were from two separate developers, a decade apart. However, there is no aspect of either mention which causes serious contradiction that precludes the consideration that these are one and the same.
