Who Watches the Watchers

Mintakans with Jean-Luc Picard.

The Mintakans were a Vulcanoid civilization native to the planet Mintaka III in the Mintaka system of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. (TNG episode: "Who Watches the Watchers")

History and specifics[]

Alternate realities[]

In the mirror universe, Philippa Georgiou and Sylvia Tilly wiped out the Mintakans. (DIS episode: "Will You Take My Hand?")

Simulations[]

In a holodeck drill controlled by the evil artificial intelligence Badgey, a Mintakan civilization evolved out of his Genesis Planet simulation. Migleemo set up a duck blind to study their culture, though Dr. T'Ana doubted it was "real". Mintakans caught sight of the away team in the duck blind and considered them gods. Steve Stevens and Sam Rutherford convinced them that they were not deities, but Mariner wanted to go with it and claimed she had no failings. A civil war erupted in the simulation between those who believed and disbelieved her. D'Vana Tendi used her T88 tricorder to eliminate rogue computer code in the simulation and end their war. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "Quis Custodiet Custard")
