Iyara^[1] or Iyaar^[2] was a star system, located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

One of its planets was Iyar, the homeworld of the Iyaaran civilization and the central world of the Iyaaran Scientocracy. (ST video game: Infinite)

According to ST video game: Infinite, it was the third planet of its system, while according to Last Unicorn RPG module: Planets of the UFP it was the fifth.
