A galaxy minute was a unit of time measurement employed by the Federation around the year 2266.

History and specifics[]

While en route to planet Zarta, a USS Enterprise bridge officer gave the estimated time of arrival as "two lunar hours one galaxy minute." (TOS comic: "Invasion of the City Builders")

When the Enterprise transported the fragment of Doona to the point where Morti and Inicrust were about to collide, Spock calculated they had four galaxy minutes to prevent the collision. (TOS comic: "When Planets Collide")

No explanation has been provided as to the length of a galaxy minute.
