Fortunes of War is a series of Star Trek: The Original Series novels by Diane Carey. The duology of novels were not originally billed as a series, but when re-released in 1999, the books were published with this subtitle.
The books, Dreadnought! and Battlestations! were two parts of the storyline of Piper, a young officer whose appearances are specific to only these two novels.
