History and specifics[]

Fillandia 1 was developed as a means of studying the geology of the planet Fillandia. In particular, station personnel examined extreme geological disturbances caused by active volcanoes, earthquakes, and frequent electrical storms. The station was designed by Rantura Shipping Lines for the Vulcan Science Academy and built by Chiokis Starship Construction Corporation.

A Samson-class warp tender towed the facility into Fillandia's orbit, and it entered service in the 2270s or 2280s.
