Elizabeth I (7 September 1533 – 24 March 1603) was a human who lived on Earth during the 16th and 17th centuries. An English monarch, she ruled England as its Queen from 17 November 1558 until her death in 1603.

Biography[]

The era in which she ruled would later be called the Elizabethan era. William Shakespeare was a notable human who lived during this time period.

Queen Elizabeth was noted for having one of the most extensive spy network of her time, operated by Sir Francis Walsingham. A famous portrait painted of Elizabeth features eyes and ears all over her cloak, a reference to her court's far-reaching intelligence capabilities. (ST - The Lost Era novel: Well of Souls)

Legacy[]

On his first visit to the USS Enterprise-D, Q appeared to the bridge crew as an Elizabethan Captain, and even spoke in the archaic form of English used during the 16th century. (TNG episode: "Encounter at Farpoint")
