Duo III

Duo III was a planet located in Federation space in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the third planet in orbit of the Duo star system.

History and specifics[]

By the later 23rd century, Duo III was the site of a Federation colony, an industrial world of the Deltans that was also jointly settled by Humans and Andorians. (FASA RPG modules: The Federation, Trader Captains and Merchant Princes, 1st edition)

It was located within the Organian Treaty Zone in Federation space in the middle of the Twilight Nebula sector, less than two parsecs from the border to the Klingon Empire and less than a parsec from the Twilight Nebula. This terrestrial world was sparsely populated. (FASA RPG module: Trader Captains and Merchant Princes, 2nd edition)

With a predominantly Deltan population, the world was known for its trade and scientific concerns. It was denoted as having coordinates 2.11S 3.27E. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)

Background[]

Its coordinates from The Federation would place it in treaty boundary quadrant 3, a.k.a. Starfleet Intelligence sector 3, the region containing the Triangle sector. The later-produced sourcebook apparently retconned its position to quadrant 4/sector 4's Twilight Nebula sector for gameplay.
