Proconsul Claudius Marcus was a Magna Roman politician and leader during the 2260s decade.

Biography[]

In the year 2262, Marcus encountered the crew of the spaceship SS Beagle and convinced Captain R.M. Merik that the Beagle's crew should not leave Magna Roma.

In 2268, three officers of the Federation starship USS Enterprise beamed down to Magna Roma and were captured and brought to Marcus. Marcus then attempted to convince Captain Kirk to bring the rest of the Enterprise crew down to the planet as well, but was unsuccessful. Eventually, Kirk escaped, with Merik's assistance, prompting Marcus to execute Merik. (TOS episode: "Bread and Circuses")
