Callinon VII was a planet located in the space of the galaxy's Gamma Quadrant, the seventh planet in the Callinon star system.

History and specifics[]

By the 24th century, this world was the location of a Dominion base, a subspace relay station that the Karemma were instructed by the Vorta to send all messages for the Dominion to.

In the year 2371, Ornithar directed the crew of the Federation starship USS Defiant to Callinon VII. After Jadzia Dax and Miles O'Brien beamed down to the station, a shield went up around it and Jem'Hadar fighters responded to the alert. Benjamin Sisko was forced to order the Defiant to leave without his two crewmembers. (DS9 episode: "The Search, Part I")

Callinon VII's mountain ranges and forests reminded Sisko of Earth. (DS9 novelization: The Search)

The Dominion abandoned the Callinon VII station and the rogue Vorta Luaran took it over. In 2376, the USS da Vinci travelled to Callinon VII to stop her. (SCE - Wounds eBook: Malefictorum)

By the end of the year, the subspace relay operations on Callinon VII had resumed and were overseen by Vannis. (DS9 - Worlds of DS9 novel: The Dominion: Olympus Descending)
