Former international tennis star-turned-actor Vijay Amritraj (born 14 December 1953; age 71) portrayed Captain Joel Randolph in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
Amritraj was originally an Indian tennis pro, best known to screen audiences for his appearance as Vijay in Octopussy (1983, with Steven Berkoff and Walter Gotell). He starred in The Last Precinct (1986, with James Cromwell). He also appeared as himself in a 1994 episode of Phenom, co-starring Jennifer Lien.
