The Troi-Riker house was an estate on the planet Nepenthe where William T. Riker, Deanna Troi, Thaddeus Troi-Riker, and Kestra Troi-Riker lived in the 24th century. In 2399, it was visited by Jean-Luc Picard and Soji Asha after they evaded Tal Shiar operatives on the Artifact.
Despite its relatively rustic appearance, the house was equipped with a voice-activated computer, a replicator, deflector shields, and various scanners. (PIC: "Nepenthe")
In 2401, while imprisoned on the Shrike, Riker and Troi ultimately confessed to each other that neither of them were particularly fond of the the house, with Troi complaining that it seemed to have been "designed by a cabal of retro prairie hipsters" and that the entrance of the house gave off a judgmental feeling and Riker further complaining that he disliked the way the the front stairs groaned at him. The house, named "Riker/Troi Cabin" in background materials, was filmed on the Universal Studios backlot on 2-9 August 2019.[1] It was originally built for the 1988 film The Great Outdoors and was utilized in other productions as well in the past three decades. [2]
