In 2151, Trip Tucker was running diagnostics of the systems aboard Enterprise NX-01 and found some kind of a power surge in the transceiver array. He asked communications officer Hoshi Sato for help who identified this power surge as an encrypted transmission. (ENT: "Breaking the Ice")
In 2373, Quark and Odo were forced to crash land on an unnamed Class L planet in the runabout USS Rio Grande. They removed the transceiver array from the crashed runabout and hauled it to the top of a nearby mountain to transmit a distress call through the planet's atmosphere. (DS9: "The Ascent")
In 2378, The Doctor, disguised as Captain Kathryn Janeway, sent a message from the Delta Flyer to the USS Voyager through the ship's transceiver array, which was received by Ensign Harry Kim. (VOY: "Renaissance Man")
