Sean M. Casey was an employee at Industrial Light & Magic who was assigned as a model maker on several Star Trek films as well as the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "Encounter at Farpoint". He worked under Steve Gawley during the construction of the USS Reliant studio model and later acted as the humpback whale mold supervisor.
Casey also worked for Industrial Light & Magic on the science fiction film Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979), Poltergeist (1982), Return of the Jedi (1983), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Cocoon (1985), Howard the Duck (1986), Innerspace (1987), Willow (1988), Back to the Future Part II (1989, starring Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Thomas F. Wilson), Congo (1995), Jumanji (1995, with Kirsten Dunst), Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Minority Report (2002), Dreamcatcher (2003), and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004).
More recently he worked as model maker for Kerner Optical on Terminator Salvation (2009, with Anton Yelchin).
