The multi-mitt was a cybernetic implant that possessed a number of capabilities, including turning into a large metal hand, a hammer that was good for percussive maintenance, and a blowtorch.
History[]
At some point before being sent on a deep space mission on a Tellar sleeper ship, Jankom Pog lost his right hand and had it replaced by the multi-mitt. (PRO: "Preludes") Pog later implied that the mitt was his own invention and that after his right hand was somehow damaged beyond repair, he built himself "something even better." (PRO: "A Tribble Called Quest")
After being captured by the Vau N'Akat on the Solum of 2436, Pog's mitt was taken from him, much to his frustration. However, this later played a crucial role in the subsequent escape as Pog was able to use a tricorder as a remote control for his mitt which, being outside of the force field cell, was able to be used to disable the force field from its control panel. (PRO: "Who Saves the Saviors")
Taking cover in the Galileo, Pog used an extendable hand configuration to anchor the falling shuttle. (PRO: "All the World's a Stage")
After Zero's corporeal body suffered an injury to its leg that couldn't be healed, thus revealing that it was starting to break down, Pog awkwardly tried to comfort his friend. Displaying his mitt, Pog told Zero that "whenever Jankom finds something he can't fix, Jankom builds himself something even better." Taking the large metal hand, Zero found some comfort in the idea that they could build Zero something even better than their current body, (PRO: "A Tribble Called Quest") later enlisting Pog to build Zero's new containment suit. (PRO: "Ascension, Part I")
