Mitchell R. Danton (born 12 December 1962; age 61) is a former stuntman and stunt actor who performed stunts in several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Voyager. He received no credit for his appearances but was identified by call sheets. A Klingon belt worn by him in the episode "Redemption" was later sold off on the web. [1]

Danton is the younger brother of stuntman, actor, and director Steve Danton and both are sons to director Ray Danton and actress Julie Adams. He grew up watching his father at work and later attended the USC School of Cinema/Television where he graduated in 1990. Since then, Danton has been working as film editor on television series which earned him four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his work on the reality show Survivor between 2001 and 2005 and a Primetime Emmy Award in the category Outstanding Single Camera Picture Editing for a Miniseries or a Movie in 2007 and an Eddie Award from the American Cinema Editors in the category Best Edited Miniseries or Motion Picture for Commercial Television in 2007 for his work on the television mini-series The Path to 9/11.

As actor and stuntman, Danton worked on Run for the Roses (1977), The Immortalizer (1989, with George Colucci), Mom and Dad Save the World (1992, with stunts by Chuck Borden, George Colucci, B.J. Davis, Chris Doyle, Ken Lesco, Irving Lewis, Rosine "Ace" Hatem, Dan Koko, Gene LeBell, Tom Morga, Frank Orsatti, Lynn Salvatori, and stunt coordinator Dennis Madalone), Direct Hit (1994, with Nick Dimitri, Chuck Borden, Red Horton, Sonia McDancer, Chuck Madalone, Joe Murphy, Mark Riccardi, and Patricia Tallman), and Down Periscope (1996, with Kelsey Grammer, Jackson Sleet, Andrew English, Steve Giralo, Danny Nero, Adrian Tafoya, and stunts by Dan Barringer, Eddie Braun, Gary Guercio, and Julius LeFlore).

Among his work as editor are episodes of Beverly Hills, 90210 (1993-2000), Christy (1995), Savannah (1996-1997), Pacific Palisades (1997), Titans (2000-2001), American Idol (2002), Dawson's Creek (2001-2003), 10-8: Officers on Duty (2003-2004), Summerland (2004-2005), Saving Grace (2007), In Plain Sight (2008), In Gayle We Trust (2010), Jane by Design (2012), Survivor (2001-2012), Switched at Birth (2012-2017), Siren (2018), Absentia (2019), and FBI: Most Wanted (2020).
