Jill Jacobson (born 21 May 1954; age 70) is the actress who played Vanessa in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "The Royale" and Chalan Aroya in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fourth season episode "Broken Link".
Jacobson may best be known for her recurring role as Erin Jones on Falcon Crest from 1985 through 1987. She also had a regular role on The New Gidget during the 1986-1987 TV season, co-starring with William Schallert.
In the 1980s, Jacobson appeared in a number of made-for-TV movies from director Steven Hillard Stern, including 1982's Not Just Another Affair and 1983's An Uncommon Love, both co-starring Ed Begley, Jr. (with the latter also featuring Phillip Richard Allen and Cyril O'Reilly). She later starred in another Stern project, Obsessive Love (1984, co-starring Robert DoQui and Allan Miller). Her other TV acting credits include guest appearances on such series as Quantum Leap (starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell), Newhart (with Tony Papenfuss), Freddy's Nightmares (starring Robert Englund, with Mary Crosby and Tracey Walter), Arliss (with Eric Steinberg), and Whoopi Goldberg’s Strong Medicine (starring Jenifer Lewis, with Martha Hackett).
Jacobson made her feature film debut with a small role in Bad Georgia Road (1977, starring Gary Lockwood. The following year, she played the title role in Nurse Sherri. She went on to appear uncredited in Splash (1984, featuring Clint Howard and Bill Smitrovich) and to have supporting roles in the 1988 films The Jigsaw Murders and Perfect Victims (with the latter co-starring Clarence Williams III). Her later film credits include 2001's Instinct to Kill and 2005's The Circle.
