In 2001, she again loaned her voice to the games Star Trek: Away Team and Star Trek: Armada II. Born and raised in New York, Bahr moved from the Bronx to Israel at age 13, where she remained for several years and served in the Army. She had earned the rank of sergeant by the time she left and traveled the globe for about a year before returning to the US.

She attended Brown University where she conducted cancer and brain research while majoring in neuropsychology and religious studies. While there, she also got involved in theater, acting in and directing several plays.

After graduating magna cum laude, she decided to move back to New York to pursue acting full time. She has since guest-starred in several television shows, including a regular role in the original pilot for The Big Bang Theory. She also had a starring role in the movie Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, which was released in 2006.
