Gray Marshall is a visual effects artist and supervisor who worked as motion control camera operator for Image "G" on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Marshall worked for Image "G" between March 1991 and January 1993 on projects such as The Addams Family (1991), Wayne's World (1992), and Last Action Hero (1993). He joined Boss Films in 1993 and Digital Domain between 1993 and 1997 while working on True Lies (1994), Color of Night (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Sgt. Bilko (1996), and The Fifth Element (1997).

In 1998 he founded the company Gray Matter FX, based in Venice, California. His resume as VFX Supervisor, Creative Director and Co-Owner includes work on Being John Malkovich (1999), Fight Club (1999), The West Wing and The Others, Dracula 2000 (2000), Cats & Dogs (2001), The Majestic (2001), Queen of the Damned (2002), XXX (2002), Adaptation (2002), The Italian Job (2003), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Duplex (2003), Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004), Spanglish (2004), Fun with Dick and Jane (2005), Dreamgirls (2006), American Gangster (2007), 21 (2008), and Swing Vote (2008).

Following the closing of Gray Matter FX in 2008, Marshall has worked as freelance VFX Supervisor and Editor on Legion (2009), The Hangover (2009), Youth in Revolt (2009), Leaves of Grass (2009), Queens of Country (2012), the documentary Feminist: Stories from Women's Liberation (2012), and the action comedy Mikeyboy (2012).
