The El-Aurian homeworld, also known as El-Auria, was an inhabited planet in the El-Aurian system. The planet was located in the Delta Quadrant.

In the mid-23rd century, the planet was destroyed by the Borg Collective, who killed millions of its inhabitants and dispersed numerous others from the planet as refugees, who would become scattered throughout the galaxy. (TNG: "Q Who", "The Best of Both Worlds")

Several hundred El-Aurian refugees fled to Federation space aboard the SS Robert Fox and SS Lakul. Both ships were ultimately destroyed by an encounter with the Nexus, but 47 survivors from the Lakul – including Guinan and Tolian Soran – were rescued by the USS Enterprise-B. (Star Trek Generations)

In 2365, Wesley Crusher recalled hearing rumors that Guinan was from Nova Kron. (TNG: "The Child")

In 2371, Captain Jean-Luc Picard tried to convince Soran that destroying the Veridian system would make him no different than the Borg who killed his wife and children. Soran, though briefly shaken, retorted that the loss of his family and homeworld had merely taught him that death was the only constant in the universe. (Star Trek Generations)

By 2384, El-Aurians had returned to the planet and had begun the process of rebuilding El-Auria. In that year, this planet was mentioned in a chart of Starfleet allies which appeared on the USS Dauntless logistics strategic data display. (PRO: "Supernova, Part 1")

The name of the planet was mentioned in the chart from "Supernova, Part I".
In a line of dialogue from the fourth draft script of "I Borg", Guinan stated, "The Borg took our whole world... left it in ruins." That line was written out of the episode by the time the final draft of the script was submitted. Also, both script drafts referred to the occupants of the planet, at the time of its destruction, as having been Guinan's "ancestors". [1]
