Charles Dayton (born 23 September 1965; age 59) appeared as a scared science crewmember in the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "Where No One Has Gone Before".
Beside his acting part in Star Trek, his only other known acting work was a featured role in the 1985 comedy School Spirit. The film also featured "Where No One Has Gone Before" co-star Biff Yeager.
Since 1995, Dayton, son of the late actor and director Danny Dayton, has been working as foley editor and sound mixer in the entertainment industry. In 1997 he received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Miniseries or a Special for his work on Crazy Horse, starring Michael Greyeyes. He shared this nomination with fellow foley editor Gregg Barbanell.
