Ragnarok (ラグナロク, Ragunaroku)? is a damage-dealing Fire skill.
History[]
Ragnarök is a series of future events in Norse Mythology, including a great battle foretold to ultimately result in the death of a number of major figures including gods, Jotunns and humans, the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the world in water. At last, in the ultimate reversal of the original process of creation, the ravaged land sank back into the sea and vanished below the waves. The perfect darkness and silence of the anti-cosmic void, Ginnungagap, reigned once more.
Afterward, the world will resurface anew and fertile, the surviving and returning gods will meet, and the world will be repopulated by two human survivors.
Effect[]
In most games where Ragnarok is available, it is usually the signature skill of Surt and cannot be inherited to other demons or Personas. Exceptions to this rule include Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey since Azrael can learn it through D-Source, Shin Megami Tensei V where many demons could use this skill, and the Persona 2 duology since it is a Fusion Spell.
Ragnarok deals severe Fire damage to 1 target.
In Shin Megami Tensei NINE, Ragnarok is a passive skill that prevents all parties from using magic combos.
In Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse, and Shin Megami Tensei V, Ragnarok deals medium Fire damage to multiple enemies.
In the Persona 2 duology, Ragnarok is a Fusion Spell that deals severe non-elemental damage to all enemies. In Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, the characters using either Odin and Heimdall or Loki and Fenrir will become Unconscious.
