Synopsis for "The R Complex"

Brief Summary:
The Silver Surfer arrives on Satriani with Empress S'Byll and the Super-Skrull, where she begins to transfer her shape-shifting powers to the other Skrulls. Clumsy Foulup agrees to work with the Kree to defeat the Skrulls, much to the pleasure of the Contemplator who has been manipulating Clusmy the whole time. The Stranger arrives on Satriani to capture S'Byll, but is stopped when Captain Reptyl offers to trade his crew for the Empress. The Strangers agrees to the deal and Reptyl becomes an ally of the Skrulls and, thus, of the Silver Surfer. Meanwhile, Shalla-Bal realizes that Nenora is actually a Skrull in disguise.

Silver Surfer Vol 3 27 page 1

Detailed Summary:
The Silver Surfer arrives on Satriani with Empress S'Byll and the Super-Skrull. They are greeted by a massive crowd of Skrulls, eager to receive their shape-shifting powers back from a newly powered S'Byll.

Meanwhile, Clusmy Foulup meets with Supreme Leader Nenora to discuss how he can help the Kree win the war by betraying Captain Reptyl and the Skrulls. Unaware by all, the Contemplator's astral form watches over the meeting, as it is his plans that Clusmy is following. The Contemplator wants to see the Skrulls destoryed and the Kree Empire ruled by him.

As Captain Reptyl travels through space, he notices a unique energy signature that he is determined to follow. That flash of energy turns out to be the Stranger, who has landed on Satriani with the intent to capture S'Byll for his own studies. The Silver Surfer attacks him, but is quickly subdued in a trap. The Super-Skrull then confronts the Stranger, but is knocked by into an invisible object that turns out to be a Badoon. It is revealed that the Brotherhood of the Badoon have been spying on the Skrulls and, now that they have been revealed, an intense battle breaks out.

The Stranger uses this distraction to depart with S'Byll, but the Silver Surfer breaks free from his containment and follows them into orbit. He once again attacks the Stranger, but their battle is interrupted by the appearance of Captain Reptyl. Reptyl offers a trade to the Stranger: S'Byll for his entire crew. He agrees to the deal and departs with the space pirates.

While on his ship, S'Byll and Reptyl agree to join forces against the Kree and the Silver Surfer is shocked to hear that Reptyl is now considered an ally. At the same time, the Kree learn of Reptyl's joining the Skrulls and Clumsy (and the Contemplator) are pleased with this news. While on Zenn-La, Shalla-Bal realizes that Nenora is actually a Skrull in disguise.
