Psyche (Deity) (Earth-616)

Psyche was a mortal princess whose beauty had caused mortal men to turn away from worship of Aphrodite, whose temples fell into ruin. Aphrodite sent Cupid to Earth to punish her by making her fall in love with an undeserving wretch. However, he fell in love with Psyche himself and spirited her off to marry her. Cupid was stripped of his godhood for a while for disobeying Aphrodite, but after Psyche proved her worthiness by outsmarting Venus and earning her right to be a goddess, Cupid and Psyche lived happily for the rest of her brief mortal life.^[2]

Afterwards, she became a goddess and one of Venus' Ten Handmaidens. ^[3] Cupid still look for her and mistaked Mockingbird as her reincarnation.^[2]
