Nathan Lubensky is a man confined to a wheelchair and was currently seeing Aunt May when she was taken to the circus by her nephew Peter and assumed she would ask him as well. Instead Nathan stayed home and Aunt May asked Mary Jane Watson to come with them instead.
Later in the day, Aunt May returned home, but in the guise of the Golden Oldie, a cosmically empowered herald of Galactus, to fetch all of the golden sponge cake treats called "Twinkles," to feed to her master. While at the house, Nathan asked her how she had become transformed and wanted to have the same done to him, but she told him the loss were far more than the gains and to be happy before she flew out the window.
