Leonard Samson (Earth-9997)

Much of Doc Samson's early life is mirrored by his Earth-616 counterpart.

Leonard Samson was a psychologist specializing in superhuman patients. Samson diagnosed Bruce Banner with multiple personality disorder brought about by his childhood abuse, unaware that the true reason for Banner's constantly changing personalities was his continual mutation due to absorption of gamma radiation from his enemies. ^[1]

In recent times, Doc Samson became the psychiatrist of Benjamin Beckley, who would go on to become known as the Skull. He was killed when Beckley used his powers of persuasion to force Samson to rip himself inside out. Samson got halfway through before he died. ^[1]
