Joaquin Pennysworth (Earth-616)

Joaquin Pennysworth was a former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D who had some unfortunate history with Kyle Richmond, the original Nighthawk (Joaquin's father, J.C. Pennysworth, was a former employee of Richmond's who tried to embezzle funds from him and was the leader of the terrorist group called the Sons of the Serpent).^[1]

Despite this, Joaquin agreed to succeed Richmond as Nighthawk when Richmond was forced to give up the role. He was a member of the Defenders.^[2]
