Peter Parker was seemingly bitten by a radioactive spider and gained super powers. After that he became the vigilante super-hero known as Spider-Man. At the beginning of his career, Spider-Man fought several villains: Vulture, Kraven, Shocker, Scorpion and most notably the Green Goblin, who hired most of the other bad guys. Green Goblin was actually Norman Osborn - a scientist and the father of Peter's friend Harry Osborn. In this universe Norman didn't die and was put behind bars, so Peter's relationship with Harry wasn't necessarily spoiled, since Norman was probably publicly outed as the Green Goblin.^[1]

Some time later, Peter and Harry went to see a demonstration of a new invention of Otto Octavius. However, the demonstration went wrong and Otto became Doctor Octopus - an insane scientist who wanted to finish his experiment no matter what. Spider-Man defeated Otto, but before he also fought Rhino, Shocker, Mysterio, Lizard and Puma. Spidey's relationship with Mary Jane was fine too, even though he didn't tell her he was actually Peter Parker behind the Spider-Man mask. It was also revealed that Otto somehow survived the explosion of his experimental sun, but he didn't make another turn and his fate is left unknown.^[2]

Then life changed for Peter drastically. He seemingly stopped meeting Mary Jane and completely forgot about her, his friend Harry became an insane New Goblin just like his father and also Peter was bonded to an alien symbiote that he used as a black Spider-Man costume that gave him an incredible power. Spider-Man defeated Electro, Mad Bomber and Sandman, but after he thought he killed the latter, Peter decided to get rid of the costume. After that it chose Eddie Brock as his next host and they became Venom. Spider-Man defeated Venom and the symbiote abandoned the surviving Eddie. However, nothing else is known about the future of this universe.^[3]
