History

Du Broth was a former prisoner on Ryker's Island who blackmailed the Warden by having been DuBroth's commander in the Vietnam War and DuBroth knew of the actions he was responsible for during the war, so once incarcerated at Ryker's for his crimes, DuBroth forced Warden Rue to let some criminals in and out of the prison, using the prison itself as their secret base. Peter infiltrated the prison to find evidence of frequent prison breakouts by taking photos of the Grey Gargoyle, Jonas Harrow and a person he did not know, actually Armand DuBroth, and took photos but was soon captured by the prison guards and himself imprisoned, while his camera was seized and later stolen by the cleaning man and sold to a pawn shop, so Peter could not prove who was the culprit and indeed was accused by DuBroth of being Peter the one who did help escape prisoners. Released on bail, Peter as Spider-Man went on a hunt for his camera while the three criminals were on the hunt for Peter. Eventually, Spider-Man easily got rid of the three criminals and retrieved the roll of photos that cleared him and blamed DuBroth.[1]
