The Creeping Slime is the third episode of the first season of the animated series, Martin Mystery. It was originally released on October 15, 2003.

Synopsis[]

A mysterious creature starts attacking an oil shack. When Martin and the gang are sent to investigate, they find themselves heading towards a small island. There they meet some very friendly islanders as well as a strange Shaman who has something to hide...

Plot[]

At Torrington Academy, Java has fallen for fellow cafeteria worker, Polly Potswagal. Unfortunately being a caveman he's not up on contemporary dating etiquette and Martin and Diana aren't the best people to ask for advice so it's a relief for all when The Center sends them to investigate the disappearance of all the workers on an oil rig in the South Pacific.

Finding the rig deserted but covered in grey slime Martin and the gang flee by helicopter before it sinks to a nearby island where they find a withered ancient looking worker. Taking him to a nearby native village they learn that the oil company moved in over local objections and a lot of the natives are unhappy about the refinery that's being built.

Martin traces the slime to a cave where a shaman is summoning ""The Black Spirit"", an ooze creature created by the fusion of oil and a mysterious gems which drains humans of their life force thus greatly aging them. The Shaman has been directing it against the rig workers.
