It is an all-terrain motorcycle and is a bike version of the Bolt Buggy and the Pipe Frame. It shares its stats with the Pipe Frame, Wild Wiggler, Standard Bike, W 25 Silver Arrow, and City Tripper. It offers good outside drifting, acceleration, weight, and speed.

The Varmint's stats are altered in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, now sharing them with the City Tripper, and Pipe Frame.
