Reel Cheep is a single-player minigame in Mario Party Advance.
Opening[]
The player's character—either Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Yoshi—is standing out on a beach with a fishing rod. They cast the line of their fishing rod into the ocean, then the game starts.
Gameplay[]
The player's character has 30 seconds to reel out a Cheep Cheep onto the scale, and they have to try and aim for the largest one. The bobber must be placed over a silhouette, so when a Cheep Cheep bites the line, the player must press the sequence of buttons shown onscreen to reel it in. Larger Cheep Cheeps require more buttons to be pressed. If the player's character does not reel in the Cheep Cheep quickly enough, it escapes. If a heavier Cheep Cheep is caught than the one on the scale, it replaces the smaller Cheep Cheep.
In Shroom City, the goal is to reel out a Cheep Cheep of at least a certain weight onto the scale before time runs out.
