Alan Becker, also known as the Animator, is the titular overarching protagonist of the Animator vs. Animation web series and the unseen overarching protagonist of the spin-off Animation vs. Minecraft. He is the first and former archenemy of his creation, the Chosen One.

He serves as the main antagonist of Season 1 and the tritagonist of Seasons 2 and 3.

He's the owner of the computers where the series takes place, and the creator of all hollow-headed stick figures thus far. Originally a cruel man who abuses them for his amusement, he would have a change of heart after seeing proof his creations are sentient.

What Makes Him Magnificent?[]

• Despite being basically a god on the computer, the series has made it clear he's not an invincible being that can't be defeated, as his creations provide him a serious challenge and he's been defeated numerous times. Thus, he's not too magnificent to the point of being a Mary/Villain Sue.
• He's a very skilled fighter that is a serious challenge to even someone as powerful as the Chosen One, who had the power to destroy the entire computer as long as someone helped him.
• He constantly thinks on the fly and makes up weapons in the middle of his fight. In one case, it was even an entirely new stick figure, although this backfired on him heavily.
• He is a very social and friendly person despite the crimes he committed, having lots of friends.
• When his first creation, victim, cloned itself numerous times, the Animator still managed to put up a fight, and even won, although only by closing the program without saving victim.
• He seems to show some basic respect for stick figures in the first two entries, viewing them as a challenge and specifically giving the Chosen One the name he has to make him as powerful as possible to see how strong he is.
• He stops the Chosen One from shutting down the computer by correctly guessing his antivirus would view the Chosen One as a virus.
• After his defeat in Animator vs. Animation 3, he went from being a sadist that toys with his victims to a no-nonsense nemesis that uses more pragmatic and quicker ways to kill the stick figures.
• While he's shown to be bad at drawing anything other than stick figures, that's a minor prevention and he recovers from it and the end of IV with the Second Coming's help.
• He redeems himself at the end of Animator vs. Animation 4 by reviving the Second Coming's lost friends and allowing them to live peacefully on the computer.
• He's shown to have a sense of honor as he kept his promise to the Second Coming.
• He was willing to forgive the Chosen One despite the fact he destroyed his previous computer after reuniting with him.
• He fought against the Dark Lord and tried to stop him from unleashing his ViraBot army into the Internet, thus saving countless computers and sentient programs inside them around the entire world from death and destruction.
• He supported the #TeamTrees and #TeamSeas movements.
• He's shown to constantly improve his skills, easily defeating the entire Stick Gang in "Wanted".

What Makes Him a Baddie?[]

• He created victim and the Chosen One for the sole purpose of killing them in a fight, showing a sadistic side that originally didn't value stick figures. It also becomes worse when you realize that they could technically count as his kids.
• He shows zero care about his minions, only trying to keep AIM alive out of pragmatism and moving on when the Chosen One kills him.
• He enslaved the Chosen One and kept him as a slave for four years.
• He showed zero empathy when the Dark Lord was about to be killed by the Chosen One. This would cause the Dark Lord to turn evil and team up with the Chosen One.
• He killed the Fighting Stick Figures and tried to do the same to the Second Coming despite them showing zero hostility just out of paranoia.
• He tortured Victim by killing and resurrecting him for 9 months. This led stick figure having PTSD and he even start hallucinating about cursor icon, eventually turning him into vengeful villain.

Trivia[]

• The Animator, alongside Sunset Shimmer are the only MBs to be Near Pure Good as well as Inconsistently Heinous.
