“ You were born pure. Follow the path and find that purity again. „
~ One of Faith's loading screens.
“ Welcome to the Bliss. „
~ Faith's phrase anytime the Junior Deputy is ensnared in the bliss.
“ Do you see it? The transformative power of faith? The poor souls who struggle with doubt are brought here to be enlightened... It's beautiful, isn't it? „
~ Faith showing the powers of the Bliss.

Faith Seed is one of the three secondary antagonists of the 2018 video game Far Cry 5 . "Faith" is a rank in the Project at Eden's Gate and not this woman's actual name. In charge of the Bliss distillery throughout Eden's Gate, Faith is in control of making sure that the followers of Joseph are happy and blindly obedient. A manipulator and liar, Faith will say anything to sway sympathy for her cause - including violence.

She was voiced by Jenessa Grant.

What Makes Her Magnificent?[]

  • Not only she is incredibly beautiful, but also clever and manipulative. Faith likes to depict herself as innocent and childlike as can be seen in The Bliss where she often giggles, runs and skips around to appear harmless. Her likeness such as dressing completely in white and attempting to appear pure is to make herself appear like a flower, both in attempt to help her manipulations and convince herself.
  • She had a very sympathetic backstory, as she was ostracized by her community and abused by her family which led her to turn to drugs to help and was close to suicide. She claims meeting Joseph gave her purpose and was welcomed into the Project like a new family.
  • She is the least violent of the Seed family members and far less heinous compared to the sadistic John, the Darwinian Jacob and the psychotic Joseph.
  • She is affable to the Junior Deputy, although it was most likely a façade to hide who she really is.
  • Even though the Deputy rescued Marshal Burke from the Bliss, Faith used this opportunity to have Marshal attack the resistance from within. She manipulated the brainwashed Marshal into releasing dozens of imprisoned Peggies and opening the prison gates for an invasion. This succeeds with the capture of Sheriff Whitehorse and weakens the resistance.
  • After the Deputy mortally wounds her following their fight, she accepts her death with grace. She calls the Deputy a hero and warns them about Joseph's ultimatum before falling backwards into the river.

What Makes Her a Baddie?[]

  • As the Herald of Henbane River, Faith ruled the region with an iron-fist despite her superficial benevolence.
  • With the Bliss, Faith brainwashed (at least) thousands of residents of Hope County into her side. Aside from the Eden's Gate cultists, she commanded the Angels, who were residents overdosed with Bliss and turned into mindless slaves.
  • She killed Marshal Burke and Virgil Minkler in a way to reprimand Deputy for their actions.
  • She posthumously almost causes Sheriff Whitehorse to hang himself.
  • When a woman named Jasmin Chan when complained to her about the noise coming from the construction site of Joseph's statue, Faith lied to her that she promised to send her Cultists to "apologize to Jasmine", but they killed the innocent woman instead.

Trivia[]

  • She is so far the only Far Cry Magnificent Baddie.
