Manuel "Cheyenne" Gutierrez is the tritagonist of Sergio Leone's 1968 Spaghetti-western film Once Upon a Time in the West. He is a bandit who was framed for the massacre of the McBain family by the ruthless killer Frank, and he seeks to clear his name.
He was portrayed by Jason Robards.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- He uses his wits to stay a step ahead of his enemies, with his standout moment being the fight with Morton's men.
- He has an honorable side, being impressed after seeing Harmonica take out Frank's men.
- He has a soft spot for women, declaring his prositute mother as the finest woman ever to live and developing a genuine friendship with Jill.
